What is the procedure for "executing" an arrest warrant issued by a court for a summons non-attendance?

The summons didn’t require me to attend, and for medical reasons. Out of the blue, six weeks later, the police told me a warrant had been issued. I had heard nothing from the court.

I have never heard of a summons that didn’t require a court appearance. Once you failed to appear the judge issues a bench warrant for your arrest for failure to appear. This warrant is then put into the system so if you ever get pulled over or anything you will be arrested. The best thing to do is go before the judge explain what happened and just do whatever you need to do.

a judge issues a warrant and the police go find the person the warrant is issued too, only a face to face with the judge can correct this matter

either go see a magistrate or a lawyer

the police will serve you a warrant and you’ll have to see the magistrate anyway
